About Me

I'm a husband to my best friend in the whole world and we have been married since October 26, 2002. I'm a proud daddy to two boys and working hard to see that they become everything they hope to be.

I grew up around church and the Bible. My family would have been considered very conservative growing up but that is definitely not definitive of where I am now. My wife and I have been youth pastors at a United Methodist Church in the past and we have lived in Lome, Togo, West Africa for nine months working with an orphanage. I now teach middle school science in a public school and try to figure out life in my free time (when not reading Young Adult Fiction Casa De Los Nerds).

I have come to learn that its my experiences in life that have taught me everything, and that no amount of arguing is going to convince people to see the world the way I do. This has been good for me because I no longer feel the need to convert anyone to my way of seeing things and that means less pressure for me.

I do feel like discussion about difficult topics is important to our world and to making it better and that is the reason for this blog.

I feel like it is my responsibility to try to help people see that our mission in life is to find the things we are passionate about and to go do them because what we do with passion we will do our best.
